Post-Operative Pain after Single-Visit Endodontic Treatment Using Different Root Canal Irrigation Activating Techniques

Aim: To clinically evaluate the effect of different irrigation activation techniques (needle irrigation, passive ultrasonic (PUI) and EndoVac) on post-operative pain after single-visit endodontic treatment. Materials methods: Thirty patients aged between 16 40 years requiring therapy asymptomatic vital/non vital maxillary central or canine teeth were selected for this study. In all cases, root canal treatment was done is in which canals prepared using nickel-titanium ProTaper Universal rotary system crown down manner up to master apical file size F4 F5 according initial size. Irrigation 2.5% NaOCl. Patients randomly assigned into three groups final method, group 1 (control group) needle 2 PUI 3 EndoVac system. Obturation cold lateral compaction technique. Post-operative assessed 6, 12, 24, 48 hours, one week two weeks respectively. evaluation Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Results: showed least values while highest values. This statistically significant at 6 hours time intervals. lower than interval. intensity decreased over time. Conclusion: reduce first hours.
